    Departure for Bangkok, overnight on an international flight.

    Arrival at Bangkok international airport, where we will be welcomed by a local tour guide and we will transfer to the hotel.

    Bangkok

    After breakfast, we will visit the Grand Palace, home to the royal residences, the throne room, and many government establishments. The Grand Palace is a must-see for all visitors to Thailand (Visitors are advised to be dressed appropriately.  Ladies shall not expose their shoulders or knees and gentlemen shall not expose knees). Then we will visit Wat Pho, the temple that houses the “Phra Buddhasaiyat”, a giant reclining Buddha with a very unique pattern on the feet.

    Bangkok

    After breakfast, we will take an excursion to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. In the past, daily commerce in Thailand was conducted mostly along rivers and canals. Approximately two hours away from Bangkok, this floating market has become one of the most famous attractions in Thailand.

    Bangkok – Chiang Rai

    After breakfast, we will fly to Chiang Rai. Upon arrival, we will visit  the White Temple or Wat Rong Khun , one of the top 10 most beautiful temples in the world. This temple was built and designed by Chalermchai Kositpipat, a famous Thai artist with unique skills of creations of Thai visual and Buddhist contemporary arts. The temple is decorated with astonishing paintings including images
    of movie superheroes.

    Chiang Rai

    After breakfast at the hotel, we travel to the Hall of Opium, walking through the dark 137-meter tunnel lined
    with images and stories of opium, to the opium museum that displays the hill tribe’s lifestyle, poppy
    cultivation, opium trade, drug trafficking in the Golden Triangle region, and all the history of opium in Siam.
    Enjoy lunch and the beautiful view of Mekong River. We visit the Golden Triangle viewpoint where the
    borders of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet at the confluence of the Ruak and Mekong rivers. In the past,
    it was one of the most significant drug trafficking points in the world. Now, it has become a popular tourist
    destination with a great number of visitors every year. The viewpoint lies a gigantic golden Buddha image,
    Phra Chiang Saen Sii Pandin. You can also walk around and shop for tea leaves and souvenirs. Then we
    take you on a boat trip for a more intimate experience, sitting back and enjoying the Golden Triangle views
    from a different point. Back to hotel and overnight.

    Chiang Rai –– Chiang Mai

    Travel by bus to Chiang Mai. Lunch and enjoy shopping for beautiful handicrafts at Chiang Mai’s Artisan Road. Here you will find traditional crafts of the old days in the shops along the Chiang Mai - Sankampaeng Road. Then we travel to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, the landmark temple on a mountain west of Chiang Mai where the Buddha relic is enshrined. The bus will take you to the temple base, then you have two options to reach the temple: climbing up the Naga stairs of approximately
    300 steps or taking a cable car. The view of Chiang Mai City from the mountain temple is phenomenal.
    Dinner at local restaurant. Check in at hotel and overnight.

    Chiang Mai

    After breakfast, we travel to the nearby Lampang province. The first stop is the world’s first Elephant
    Hospital, operated by Soraida Salwala. Say hello to Motala, who lost her front leg to a landmine and now
    living with a prosthetic leg. Travel to Lampang and visit Wat Phrathat Lampang Luang, the ancient temple
    with remarkable archaic architecture and traces of the Burmese-Siamese war. After lunch, visit Ceramic
    Museum Dhanabadee, where we can learn why Lampang earn the name “the ceramic city in
    Thailand”. The most popular product from the past is “chicken bowl”. The museum will show,Lampang ceramic production and the local technique of drawing patterns on a chicken bowl that is the only one in the country. Visitors can see the modern process of ceramic production that well-known around the world. Visit a Forest Market on the way back to Chiang Mai for exotic and
    seasonal food. Return to the hotel and overnight.

    Chiang Mai-Phuket

    After breakfast, transfer to airport and fly to Thailand´s largest island, Phuket. It’s situated off the west coast of Thailand in the Andaman Sea.
