The Angels Railway started operating as early as 1901 and it is the shortest funicular railway in the world. You can take it for one way or around trip (one way fare is $1). Next, we will visit “The Last Bookstore” which was opened in 2005. It is a collection of second-hand books, new books, and films. After it’s 2011’s expansion , the bookstore has become a fashionable style today. Within a short walking distance from these two places, you won’t miss the “Grand Central Market”, which is the favorite food place for locals and tourists around the globe. Let's walk into the market and catch all the small stalls full of surprises. In the afternoon, we will visit “Staples Center”, which is the main battlefield of the Los Angeles NBA Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers. Just a short drive away, we will arrive at “Urban Light” in front of the Los Angeles Art Museum. This group of artworks consists of 202 street lamps painted in gray. There are 17 different styles of street lights, and most of them have illuminated the streets of Southern California. These street lights were purchased by an antique collector everywhere, and then designed by artist Chris Burden in 2008. The movie "No Strings Attached" was filmed here. Last, we will arrive at “The Melrose Avenue”,which is one of L.A.’s most famous streets, featuring a myriad of shopping, dining and entertainment destinations. Melrose runs north of Beverly Boulevard and south of Santa Monica Boulevard. This place is all about fashion and happiness, so enjoy the most trendy part of the city of angels.
